Rebranding, White Paper, and Governance Activation

Friday 11 May 2018

Greetings everyone!

After some time, we are quite pleased to announce the following updates.

Rebranding

The Crave logo has been completely changed, along with design changes to the official website and wallet.

We have wanted to move away from the previous skull logo for quite some time now, and finally got around to achieving this. The main purpose of the logo change was to appeal to a wider audience and keep future partnerships more open, while also holding the belief that a logo should not be a hindrance to growth. After previously polling many members, we found that some were even uncomfortable to recommend Crave to friends or coworkers due to the dark and aggressive tone.

The v2.5.0.3 wallets have also been released, mainly to reflect this redesign. There also includes a few other small changes, including the ability to see both the network staking weight and your own, as well as a fix to the Invalid IP Address error that sometimes occurred when starting a masternode through the GUI. The wallets be download on the wallets page of our website.

We belief that this rebranding process will help lead us down the path that we would like to progress on.

White Paper

Over the past couple of months, we have been working on creating a document to reflect the technological features of Crave and why they are important. This should help give information to new and prospective investors, as well as with listing onto larger exchanges in the future.

The creation process involved many steps, beginning with an initial drafting stage to set the structure of the document, and then moving on to countless writing sessions to make sure that everything was explained in a clear and concise manner. Following this, we had a great group of Crave community members provide feedback on the paper, taking on multiple more revisions until we were happy with it.

As some have already noticed, we wanted to give our white paper a classic feel to it, rather than following a similar structure as many other projects today.

Governance & Budgeting System Activation

Finally, we have also enabled the system which allows the community to propose and vote upon ideas. This could include anything that improves Crave, such as expanded marketing efforts, new team member additions, adding Crave to other services, and so on. We hope that this not only advances growth, but also serves as a way to get community members more active in this exciting field.

To get more information on current proposals or on how to actually submit a proposal if you have an idea, please check out the proposals page on the website. We have compiled step-by-step instructions, as well as a template which you can follow to increase the chances of your proposal being accepted.

We have much more being worked on for future updates, so stay tuned!
